I think at the end of the day, those in the underrepresented groups want to feel they are valued, accepted for who they are and the experience they bring…not the ‘diversity’ they bring. When companies say ‘we will be more successful financially if we have a DEI program’ demeans the ‘diverse’ hires and programs. When talking about DEI at the senior level, they tend to forget about the human factor…people want to FEEL accepted and included. So, the business case may get the attention of CEO’s but it’s the moral case that will win the hearts and minds…which have to be in line when making progress…real progress! My ✌🏼 cents…
